Based on updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and The Virginia Department of Health we will transition to streamline recommendations for common respiratory virus illnesses such as COVID-19, flu and RSV. Below is a summary of the attached document provided to us from The Virginia Department of Health.
- This update will replace community COVID-19 isolation and exposure guidance.
 - People with symptoms of a respiratory virus should take steps to prevent spreading illness to others:
 - People can go back to normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, both are true:
 - Your symptoms are getting better overall, and
 - You have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication).
 - Once people resume normal activities, they are encouraged to take precautions for the next five days to curb disease spread, such as:
 - Taking more steps for cleaner air
 - Enhancing hygiene practices
 - Wearing a well-fitting mask
 - Keeping a distance from others, getting testing to inform your actions to prevent spread to others.
