Egg-cellent Helpers! Today our Early Childhood students teamed up with Mrs. Hockett’s three-year-old class for some colorful fun — dyeing eggs together! It was a sweet mix of learning, laughter, and lots of bright colors.

Fueling Success, One Breakfast at a Time At the Washington County Career & Technical Education Center, breakfast isn’t just a meal – it’s the key to starting the day with success. WCTEC Students Cash in on Financial Literacy Thanks to People Incorporated, students at Washington County Career and Technical Education Center are getting a crash course in real-world money management. Using Pico 3 VR headsets, students in Mrs. Ruble's Algebra and Geometry classes determined ways to eliminate food waste at a Tex Mex restaurant in virtual reality. The students not only applied their knowledge of equations to complete this task, but they also addressed a real issue that has to be considered in the culinary classroom.

Nurse aide students are in the midst of their required clinical hours at a local senior living facility. Their experience can include anything from taking vital signs such as blood pressure to bathing and grooming.

CGI is a proud sponsor of the Congressional App Challenge, a program hosted by Members of Congress that empowers middle and high school students to learn coding and inspires them to pursue careers in computer science. Our WCCTEC students showcased remarkable creativity and innovation through their projects for this year’s competition! Team Solar Go Kart Analytics Members: Bradley L., Stewart C., and Zack F. Project: Developed an app focused on Solar Go Kart Analytics. EBSMS hosted a STEM Career Fair on 2/28/25, and five of our WCCTEC students participated, representing health careers and careers in engineering/robotics. EBS students were able to play with the robots, listen to their own heartbeat with a stethoscope, and use a heimlich vest and a pill counting tray. Thank you to Jaylee H., Kassie C., Zachary C., Bradley L. and Adia A. for representing our school so well.
