Due to flood warnings, downed trees, and the potential of another 5 inches of rain today Washington County Public Schools will be CLOSED on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Today, members of the GSMS Student Ambassadors and PHHS Rebel Elite met for a business lunch. Students discussed the positives for the current school year, and brainstormed some idea for creating a collaborative community for all Rebels. Flu Vaccine Clinic: WCPS is scheduled to have flu vaccine clinics in schools October 8th, 10th and 11th. Be on the lookout for student registration forms being sent home.
Glade Middle hosted DMS at Volleyball during the school day in order to boost school spirit and assure that ALL students have the opportunity to see their classmates play! It was a fun way to show the #WashingtonWay @WashCoSuper

As part of 9/11 remembrance, students in Mr. Henderson’s US History class, students are making comparative stamps.
GSMS 6th grade students attended Farm Day at the Johnson’s Highlands Dairy Farm.
“Simplify before you multiply!” Students in Mr. Thomas’s Math 6 class are learning steps to work through multiplying fractions.

Med Flight will be using GSMS as a landing site this morning, Monday, September 9. There is not an emergency at GSMS. Please expect delays and alternate routes for drop off.
On Wednesday, September 4, Glade Spring Middle School hosted "Meet the Rebels--Middle School Edition". Members of the golf, cross country, cheer, volleyball, and football teams were introduced to the fans. This event was sponsored by Ms. Frost of Communities in Schools.
